Fan-Tan

Count the pile, back a residue — the only table in the house with no edge at all.

The ancient counting game, played straight: the server commits a hidden pile of 49 to 80 counters, counts it off in groups of four, and the final residue — 1, 2, 3, or 4 — decides every bet. A single-residue Fan pays 3 : 1, a two-residue Kwok pays even money, and it all settles through the token ledger.

No deposits · no purchases · no withdrawals · no redemptions · no prizes · no cash value.

Stylized illustration — the real table is on the floor.

How a round works

Fan-Tan

  1. 1

Stake tokens on one or more residues — a single-number Fan or a two-number Kwok.

  2. 2

The covered pile is drawn and counted down in fours entirely server-side; the browser only watches the count.

  3. 3

The final residue settles the round: Fan pays 3 : 1, Kwok pays 1 : 1, straight to the token ledger.

The odds, honestly

True odds, no commission — yes, really.

Bet / outcomeChancePays
Fan (single residue)1/4 = 25%3 : 1
Kwok (two residues)2/4 = 50%1 : 1

House edge

Zero. Fan-Tan pays true odds with no commission — a deliberate TiltSeven design decision that makes this the fairest table in the house: 3 : 1 on a 1-in-4 Fan and even money on a 2-in-4 Kwok is mathematically dead even. Real casinos skim about 5% from winning Fan-Tan bets; ours doesn't, so the long run here belongs to nobody.

Fair play, by construction

  • Every outcome is drawn server-side and settled into the ledger — nothing is decided in your browser.
  • Rules and paytables live in reviewable contracts; the same math runs for every player.
  • Play tokens only: whatever the odds say, nothing here is ever worth money.
